Discover what's inside the SEES limited edition CD+Blu-ray set from Yuzu, including bonus tracks and a documentary. Use our decision rules to see if it's right for you.
Quick answer
The SEES limited edition packs the full album plus a Blu-ray with a behind-the-scenes documentary and a full concert film from Yuzu's 2021 winter solstice live. It is a strong pick if you want both the new studio tracks and a substantial video bonus.
What makes the limited edition different
The regular edition of SEES likely contains only the CD with the 10 studio tracks. The limited edition adds a Blu-ray with two exclusive video features: a documentary titled "Talk about 'SEES' -Making & Document-" that covers the album's concept and the lead-up to a nationwide arena tour, plus the full "Yuzu Toji no Hi Live 2021" concert filmed at Noevir Stadium Kobe. That concert includes fan favorites like "Aa, Seishun no Hibi" and "Hidamari nite."
If you already own that 2021 live recording or prefer a purely audio experience, the limited edition's extra cost may not be necessary. But for collectors or anyone curious about the band's creative process, the documentary alone adds real value.
Trade-off: Price vs. bonus content
At a catalog price of USD 4210.80 (compared to USD 6380.00), the limited edition is already discounted relative to its reference price, but it still costs more than a standard CD-only release. The Blu-ray is the main trade-off: you pay extra for video extras that you may watch only once or twice. If your primary use is car listening or background music, the regular edition saves money.
On the other hand, if you enjoy music documentaries and live performances, the limited edition effectively bundles two products in one. The concert footage from a major stadium show is not available on streaming platforms in this complete form.
How to decide: limited edition vs. regular
- You want the documentary and live concert: Buy the limited edition. The Blu-ray includes a 40+ minute documentary and a full concert from 2021 that you cannot get elsewhere in this package.
- You only want the new studio tracks: Choose the regular CD edition. The 10 songs are identical on both versions, so you save money by skipping the video extras.
- You are a collector or Yuzu fan: The limited edition's first-press packaging and documentary make it a more collectible item. If you value behind-the-scenes content, it is worth the premium. Check TOY'S STORE for stock, as limited editions sell out faster.
