Learn how to play and navigate the Mr.Children Tour 2018-19 Gravity & Breath DVD, including region codes, menu tips, and bonus content.
Quick answer
To watch the Mr.Children Tour 2018-19 Gravity & Breath DVD, ensure your player is region-free or set to Region 2, then navigate the dual-disc menu to enjoy the full concert and bonus Taipei footage.
Why this DVD is different from a standard live concert disc
This release spans two discs with a total of 28 tracks, including an intermission and encore. Disc 1 covers the main set, while Disc 2 features the latter half plus a bonus segment from the Taipei show. The menu layout is Japanese-only, so knowing the track order helps you jump to your favorite songs without guessing.
Region code and player compatibility
Japanese DVDs are typically encoded for Region 2. If you live outside Japan, your standard player may reject the disc. A region-free player or a computer with VLC Media Player bypasses this limitation. Check your player’s region settings before inserting the disc to avoid playback errors.
Step-by-step playback guide
- Check your DVD player’s region compatibility: Look for the region code on the disc packaging. If your player is locked to Region 1 (North America) or another region, use a region-free player or a computer with VLC. A common mistake: inserting the disc into a region-locked player and seeing a 'Region Error' message.
- Insert Disc 1 and navigate the main menu: Press PLAY on the remote. If the menu appears, use the arrow keys to select a track. The menu text is in Japanese; refer to the printed tracklist or the list above to find your song. If the menu does not appear, press TOP MENU or DISC MENU on your remote to bring it up.
- Switch to Disc 2 for the encore and bonus content: After Disc 1 ends, eject and insert Disc 2. The second disc includes tracks 17–28 plus the Taipei bonus footage. Use the menu to skip directly to the Taipei segment. Don’t forget to check the 'Tour 2019 In TAIPEI' bonus—it’s easy to miss if you stop after the main concert ends.
